Day 1: Welcome to the Eternal City of Rome

Arrive in Rome and transfer to your centrally located hotel, set within easy reach of the city’s historic center. After time to settle in, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a welcome drink, followed by dinner at a local restaurant. It’s an unhurried first evening, offering a chance to ease into Rome and get to know the group before the days ahead.

Day 2: Ancient Rome & Colosseum

After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic drive through Rome, passing landmarks such as the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, and the Jewish Quarter. Continue with a guided visit to the Colosseum, where you’ll step inside the arena and see one of the city’s most recognizable monuments up close. The afternoon and evening are at leisure to explore the city independently. Your Tour Director will be happy to recommend restaurants or areas to visit, with time to enjoy dinner on your own and sample local Roman specialties, including the traditional supplì.

Day 3: Vatican City & Trastevere Dinner

Spend the morning visiting Vatican City, with a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. The scale and setting make this one of Rome’s defining experiences. The afternoon is at leisure, allowing time to explore another part of the city or simply enjoy a slower pace. In the evening, gather for dinner in one of Rome’s well-known neighborhoods, where busy streets and traditional restaurants offer a more informal side of the city.

Set among gardens and ruins, the site offers a quieter contrast to Rome before the journey continues inland. Later, enjoy a farmhouse lunch in the countryside, followed by a trip to Sulmona, a historic town set between mountain ranges.
