Chris and I absolutely loved our visit to Provence. The itinerary offered a great blend of cultural, educational, and scenic opportunities to keep us constantly entertained and anticipating the next adventure. Our tour guide, Veronique, was wonderful. She provided us with all of the historical information along the way blended with her own personal insights as a native of the area. She was always attentive to our needs and eager to ensure that our experience was as fulfilling as possible. Our driver, Christoph, was also a great asset through his knowledge of the best areas to stop to get the optimal view of the sights and his current knowledge of local conditions (especially where the best fields for viewing the lavender and sun flowers were for the days we were there). The three hotels were excellent choices. Each had its own charm and the locations allowed easy access to the city center.We especially enjoyed the garden at the hotel in Aix. Such a beautiful spot to relax after a long day of seeing the sights and our dinners there were great.Chris appreciated the opportunity to use the pool at the hotel in Saint Remy. (she is an avid swimmer) and the breakfast buffet there was among the best we have ever had. All of our rooms were quiet and comfortable. As usual, all of the technical aspects of the Secret Italia tour worked like a Swiss watch. From our arrival at the Marseille airport, through checking in at the three hotels, and our eventual departure, everything went perfectly. Kudos to you and your staff for designing such a wonderful tour of Provence and kudos to Veronique and Christoph for treating us so well throughout the week.We are already eagerly looking forward to our Secret Italia tour of Greece.

I am am writing to thank you for an amazing tour of Sicily. At the end of each day we thought it couldn’t get any better, and then the next day it did. Rosaria was so helpful, so knowledgeable and so lively. She was always in such good spirits. The hotels were lovely and the food tremendous.Thanks to your careful planning we experienced a variety of Sicilian foods and enjoyed a range of activities that were sometimes educational – and sometimes just plain fun. This is truly a trip to remember.

We are so pleased to tell you that our recent trip to Sicily was absolutely amazing. Though our travels have been many, we can truthfully say going to Sicily was on the top of our list as our favorite.All of the hotels, had their own charm but the Hotel in Taormina ranked as our ultimate favorite. Since we’ve returned home we have sung your praises to our family and friends.There is just one complaint….it comes from our stomachs. We are no longer eating all the delicious meals we had on the trip. Now it’s just three meals with no antipasto no primo or second courses. We would be remiss if we did not give accolades to our charming, delightful, and very knowledgeable guide, Rosaria. Actually, all of the different city guides did a very fine job.Hopefully we will continue to have good health so we could take another Secret Italia trip.

My husband, Jerry, and I want you to know how much we enjoyed our recent tour of Sicily (April 27-May 8). I found your company online a year or two ago and was intrigued by the “small-group” concept. I was looking for a tour of Sicily and compared your itinerary with that of Tauck (with whom we have traveled several times) and Smithsonian, and we liked the Secret Italia itinerary the best for a number of reasons. But reading about an itinerary and actually going on the trip are two different things! It was in the travel itself that we actually realized what a simply lovely itinerary you had pulled together. The hotels were all wonderful and in great locations. The restaurants you chose for lunch and dinner were very outstanding. We especially enjoyed the lunch we had with Susanna and her mother Rita at their home. Please extend our thanks to them for opening their home to us and for providing us with a wonderful meal. It had to be a lot of work for them to prepare all those courses for 15 people, but they were so gracious and welcoming to us.The local guides you selected were all top-notch and we learned so much on this trip. That’s what we love about traveling – expanding our horizons and being exposed to things/ideas that we might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn.Now about Luca! We were delighted to have Luca as our Tour Director. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, well-spoken, a capable group leader, and most important – fun and enjoyable to be with. He sang for us on occasion and that added a whole different dimension to the trip – it made it very special. We cannot say enough about how much Luca contributed to the success of the trip.And, Katrin, it meant so much to us that you were there for our welcome dinner and first day. It shows how committed you are to making sure that Secret Italia continues to have the quality that you and Aldo envision for your company. We wish you both much success and happiness in the future.

It was first class all the way from the airport transfers, to the hotels, to the restaurants. Everything we did depicted the lifestyle and culture of Sicily, we experienced and learned a lot. We have finally returned home to Australia after two months in Europe/U.K. and we would like you to know how much we enjoyed our tours with your company (Puglia/Basilicata and Sicily). Very well organized. Everything ran like clockwork. Beautiful accommodation, delicious food, interesting experiences, comfortable vehicles with excellent drivers. However, the ‘icing on the cake’ were the two tours managers, Paula and Daniela.True professionals, excellent knowledge, enthusiasm and love for their regions and a great sense of fun. If the rest of your tour managers are of the same caliber as these two ladies, you must have a very successful business. You appear to have the knack of choosing the right people and we hope you thoroughly appreciate them. We hope to travel with your company again one day.

Aldo, I just wanted to tell you what a great time we had on the Sicily trip. Our tour guide, Rosie was fantastic. She has great knowledge and a wonderful, joyous personality. She really cared about everyone and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The restaurants and hotels were fabulous, as was the special events like eating in the private farmhouse. I know that you and your wife work very hard to make these tours special and it shows.Last year we went to Puglia with Secret Italia and it was terrific, but this was even better, if that’s possible.Please let us know what your tour schedule will be for 2020 as soon as you have it ready. I also understand that you and your wife will be in Manhattan in January for a travel convention. Meta and I would love to take you and your wife for drinks or dinner at your convenience if you have the time.
