We are home safe and well after a wonderful trip.Everything was perfect——Luca was a fantastic guide, so caring, so enthusiastic, so knowledgeable, so stimulating and such good fun.Our group was amazing; everyone was friendly and such an interesting group.
All the hotels you selected were excellent as were the restaurants.We loved the talks from the local guides, especially the one from Corleone.

We recently returned from our trip with Secret Italia Tours in Puglia & Basilicata. We wanted to let you know that our trip from April 29th through May 10th was absolutely fabulous! We have traveled to Europe numerous times over the years, on our own and with other tour companies.Your attention to detail in planning a wonderful itinerary in every location is unsurpassed. You and your wife are to be commended for your excellence in running a very special family tour company. You deserve all of the accolades and awards you receive! Our trip was a perfect blend in each city of guided tours, fun experiences, delicious food, wine and gelato (Tony’s favorite) as well as free time. Our hotels were all delightful in their own unique way. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in every location. It was so interesting to learn new things about each area. I was delighted to realize that we were so close to where my maternal Italian relatives lived prior to immigrating to the United States. My mother’s grandparents were from Picerno and she was so excited when I told her how close we were! Tony’s parents were both from Italy, so he was able to understand and from time to time actually speak Italian! We traveled with our dear friend, Anne Browne, but made new friends in our group. We loved the small group size and were able to get to know everyone quite well. As you are well aware, our tour manager, Paola is a true gem! We had so much fun with her leading the way! She was also very helpful to us, particularly in regards to Tony’s missing luggage (unfortunately, it is still traveling the world on its own). Prior to my retirement, I was in the public sector as a manger for the State of Connecticut and had staff who worked very hard. I value the importance of having the right people to do the job. This is another testament to you as the owner of your fine company.
In closing, thank you for an amazing trip filled with a lifetime of wonderful memories and lots of funny stories! Until next time, ciao!

Just back from Portugal and we had a marvelous time. This tour was an extraordinary experience for us offering many intimate insights into Portugal. So many unforgettable moments beyond the impressive structures and critical highlights: beautiful gardens, wonderful vineyard tours and tasting experiences, marvelous culinary experiences, the stellar and unique hotels, the charming “off the beaten path” village finds, and the private Duoro River cruise. Our tour itinerary demonstrated the careful selection of special tour elements and premium venues combined with excellent value that are the signature of a Secret Tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Portugal and have been telling all of our friends about it. How special it was that Katrin was in Lisbon and spent some time with us. Typically, you do not meet the owners of a tour company. It was a wonderful personal touch that is much appreciated. We loved the fact that we went to some of the less tourist places and had an opportunity to take time to experience Portugal and not just look at all of the well-known tourist sites (even though we saw them all as well). We thoroughly enjoyed all of the meals that you provided–especially the Quinta in Evora–they were all top-notch. It was a wonderful opportunity that you just don’t get on traditional group tours. We were grateful to have some time on our own to explore and have meals. Great balance! Our guide Isabel was fantastic. She kept us on schedule; yet, we never felt rushed. She even managed the two tour members that had difficulty walking in a way that didn’t cost the rest of us too much time in waiting for them. The extras that you included were much appreciated. We enjoyed the olive oil tasting in Evora, the lunch in a convent, and the dinner at the convent hotel in Evora. The fact that everyone on the tour seemed happy and didn’t complain had to be due to the careful planning, the wonderful meals, the lovely accommodations, and an outstanding guide.As a result, we are even more excited about our upcoming trips to Puglia and Sicily than we were before we experienced Portugal.

We have to thank you so much for the terrific trip! Everyone in our group agreed that the tour exceeded our expectations! It was a delight from beginning to end. The itinerary was intense but all worthwhile. Of course, as I’m sure you know, Rosaria was wonderful. She managed everything beautifully; she put all her considerable energy into making sure that all went smoothly. All the hotels were very good and the food was always excellent. We didn’t have to worry about what we would do when we were on our own for dinner because most of the time we were too full from lunch to bother with dinner. Oh, and I should mention how good Marco was–an excellent driver. One suggestion for music on the bus–add a little classical and opera. Well, thank you again. We will recommend Secret Italia highly and I’ll do a Trip Advisor piece in the next few days.

Thank you for giving me such a wonderful experience of the Puglia tour. We had a marvelous time and saw some things that I would not have known about if I went on my own. Aberobello was just so picturesque and Poglinagno al Mare was breath taking. The different flavors of food we tasted was so diverse and delicious. Paola our guide was excellent and went above and beyond to help everyone and also with the headache that Alitalia gave us at the end of our wonderful trip!!! Paola is the best guide I have ever had; she is a wealth of knowledge. How can she remember all the history of the beautiful churches and frescoes etc? The hotels were all pleasant and the experience in Matera was unique. The restaurant in Matera was beautiful as it was all lit up with fairy lights and wonderful food. Trani was a beautiful hotel and a lovely place to end our tour. The whole tour was very well thought through and diverse from the cheese making to the Nonna Maria’s pasta day to the lovely vineyard “Roses” wine tasting to watching the grapes brought to the wine factory. Thank you for such a wonderful experience of Puglia.
